How do I join the Authentic Living Small Group?

Our Small Group currently meets via SocialCross.org  This is a Closed Group and only the members of the Group can view the group content.

To join, please follow the steps below…
  1. Login to SocialCross.org
  2. After you login, head over to the Authentic Living Ministries page and LIKE us.
  3. When a new study begins a link to the Closed Group will be posted on the ALM Page. Click on it and [Ask to Join Group]. Once approved, you are part of the Group and can join in during the meetings.

How do I find the ALM Group on SocialCross?

Finding your online Study Group is easy! Simply Login to your account, click on your profile picture on the top right, and click on the [Groups] tab just under your cover photo. That is where all the Groups you are a part of will be listed.

Why Should I Register My Email?

To receive Small Group updates you will need to register your Email.  Please look to the right side of the Blog, near the top just under the blue tabs.  There is a box that says, “Get the latest updates, follow by Email”.  Type in your Email and click Submit.
  • An Email will be sent to you by a service called “Feedburner” which will contain a link that you will need to click to activate your subscription.  Once clicked, you can expect updates to be sent to you once a week, usually on Monday mornings.
  • If you don’t see an Email from ‘Feedburner’ in your inbox check your spam/trash folder.  You must click the link inside this email in order to receive updates.

What time does the Group meet?

It depends on how many Bible Studies we are doing. Please head to the Study Schedule Tab for the time and information for our current Study or Studies.

Since I live in Arizona we do not observe Daylight Savings Time. Please adjust your time according to the state you live in.  For your convenience, here is a handy  Time Zone Converter

Small Group lasts for an hour.

How do I participate in Small Group?

On the night of the Small Group, login into SocialCross and go to the ALM Group you have joined. I will post a picture for the night, and underneath that picture is where our Small Group will meet for the night.  We will open with prayer, and then I will be posting a series of questions.  All answers should be posted in the comments under the picture as well.  We will close with prayer.

All answers should be prefaced with Q1, Q2, etc…so that we know which question is being answered.

Where do I download the book/study?

Go to our  Study Schedule Tab and look for the current month/date.

When do I start reading my book/study?

For most of you familiar with traditional Bible Studies the format will be easy for you to follow, a daily time set aside to meet with the Lord, at your own pace. Read a chapter, then we will discuss what you've read the following week.

Book options...

Okay.  Here's something fun!

From time to time we will be using free downloadable Bible Studies.  These books will almost always be downloaded to your computer as a PDF file, which you can open up on your computer or print out, whichever you prefer.  If you've got a Kindle, or a Kindle App, then you are in for a treat!

You and your approved contacts can send documents to your registered Kindle devices, free Kindle reading applications, and your Kindle Library in the Amazon Cloud by e-mailing them to your Send-to-Kindle e-mail address ([name]@kindle.com). Your Send-to-Kindle e-mail address is a unique e-mail address assigned to each of your Kindle devices and free Kindle reading applications upon registration.

Email PDF documents to your Kindle.
  • Log in to your Amazon.com account and find your Kindle email address. To do this, select "Your Content and Devices" from your account page. Your Kindle email address will be listed in the format of yourname@Kindle.com.
  • Add your email address to the "Your Kindle Approved Email List" section. Once you complete this step you are ready to email the PDF document to your Kindle.
  • Open your personal email and create a new email. Attach the PDF document.
    • You don’t need to add a subject in the ‘subject line’.
    • You can convert it to be Kindle ready.  Type "CONVERT" in the subject line.  But be warned, not all PDF's keep the original format.  I've lost entire sections doing this so I tend to just send it un-converted.
    • Click "Send" to email the document to Amazon.com.
  • Turn on your Kindle  and your document will appear on your Kindle's home page within a few minutes.
